Dogwood Hills Golf Course is a hilly, scenic course and
heavily wooded. Designed by Brent Williams, the course features
narrow fairways lined with trees and the greens are medium in size
and speed. Water hazards (lakes) come into play on at least five
separate occasions. The signature hole is #13, a 420-yard, par 4,
requiring a shot over water. The 18-hole course features 6,008 yards
of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72. The course rating is
69 and it has a slope rating of 113. |

The "Pascagoula" course at the Pascagoula Country Club
facility features a narrow course built on flat terrain and features
tree-lined fairways. Some of the fairways are doglegs, but most
holes play straight away, and the medium-sized greens are well
bunkered, slightly sloped, and elevated. Water hazards (ten ponds)
come into play on five holes.
The 9-hole course features 6,267 yards of golf from the longest tees
for a par of 36. The course rating is 71 and it has a slope rating
of 70. |
Pass Christian Isles Country Club - Pass Christian, Mississippi

"Isles" course, at the Pass Christian Isles Golf Club
facility, is one of the oldest courses on the Gulf Coast, and
designed by Tom Bendelow in 1914 (same designer of Medinah No. 3
and Olympia Fields).
The course known for having very small
greens (as were most courses designed in the early 1900s), tree
lined fairways, and strategically positioned water hazards,
underwent two major renovations with painstaking efforts made to
retain its turn of the century charm. The Isles offer a challenge to
golfers of all levels, especially on the back
nine and the 18th. |

The 18-hole "Pine Bayou" course at the Pine Bayou Golf Course
facility features 6,561 yards of golf from the longest tees for a
par of 72. The course rating is 71 and it has a slope rating of 123
and was designed by Willard C. Byrd, ASGCA. Navy Golf Program
manages this facility and the course is open to the public.
Morale, Welfare & Recreation (MWR) operates a beautiful and
challenging 18-hole golf course. Trees, man-made ponds and sand
traps surround the course, while a well-equipped pro shop is
available with pull carts, electric carts and golfing equipment.
This course was built on rolling terrain with water and trees that
come into play. The signature hole is #5, requiring a tee shot over
water. Lots of
water, one of the nicer courses to play. |

scenic holes. Very affordable to play. The 18-hole "Whispering
Pines/Jackson" course at the Whispering Pines/Jackson County Golf
Course facility is a public course and features 6,392 yards of
golf from the longest tees for a par 72. Whispering Pines/Jackson
golf course opened in 1974 and was completely redesigned in 2002.
Whispering Pines is county-owned course and is a great course for
beginners and seniors. The course is flat and easy to walk. The
front 9 course is open and the back 9 is wooded with several water
hazards. After a leisurely day refresh yourself in the recently
renovated Whispering Pines Golf Course Clubhouse with a grill menu
featuring hamburgers, hot dogs & French fries.
